Assessments are powerful intervention tools that can supply important information regarding a leader's behavior, leadership skills, communication style, and ability to work with others. 

They help an individual gain an understanding of the gap between where they are now compared to where their manager wants them to be.  The results of an assessment combined with coaching can provide valuable feedback and assist in the identification of personal action steps. 

Types of Assessments:

• StrengthsFinder – This online assessment tool reveals an individual's five greatest areas of talent.  Once someone discovers his/her talents, they can be turned into strengths by developing the best strategies for applying them in the workplace.

• 360 Degree Feedback Assessment – A 360 degree developmental assessment is completed by the individual’s supervisor, his/her direct reports, and peers. The survey provides information indicating how effectively the person is performing specific job-related skills.  The main purpose of the 360 assessment is to help an individual understand how people perceive his/her current performance and behavior and to assist the individual in setting goals toward further development.

• DISC -  This personal assessment tool can be used to improve work place productivity, teamwork, and communication.  The DISC model provides a common language that people can use to better understand themselves and to understand the behavior of others.   

• Custom Designed Assessment – A professionally designed assessment can be developed and administered to evaluate an individual’s or a team’s developmental needs.  This process may include one-on-one interviews, focus groups, or other tools to determine the appropriate course of action in order to attain the desired results.
